Abstract:
Disclosed are an optical fiber pressure sensor and a manufacturing method therefor. The optical fiber pressure sensor comprises a signal transmitting and receiving device (1), a transmitting optical fiber (2) and a pressure detection device (3). The transmitting optical fiber (2) includes a light receiving end connected with the signal transmitting and receiving device (1) and a light reflecting end connected with the pressure detection device (3). The pressure detection device (3) includes a medium storage cavity (31), a refractive index sensitive medium and an elastic diaphragm (32); the medium storage cavity (31) being provided with an opening end parallel to the axial direction of the transmitting optical fiber (2); a fiber core surface of the light reflecting end of the transmitting optical fiber (2) and an inner surface of the medium storage cavity (31) in a length direction of the cavity forming two reflecting surfaces of a fabry-perot resonator; the medium storage cavity being filled with the refractive index sensitive medium (31), and the opening end of the medium storage cavity (31) being sealed by the elastic diaphragm (32). The deformation of the elastic diaphragm (32) causes change of a refractive index of the refractive index sensitive medium, such that the elastic diaphragm (32) can be used as a pressure sensing surface of the pressure sensor for measuring pressure applied to the side surface of the transmitting optical fiber (2).
