Abstract:
An optical fiber sensing system according to the present invention is provided with: an optical fiber (11) that is disposed in water and that detects a water pressure change caused by an event occurring in an observation region; a reception unit (20) that receives an optical signal from the optical fiber (11); and an identification unit (30) that detects a water pressure distribution and water pressure time fluctuation in the observation region on the basis of a pattern of the optical signal, and identifies the event occurring in the observation region on the basis of the detection result.
