Abstract:
An optical fiber sensing system according to this disclosure comprises: optical fiber (10) that is disposed so as to face in a plurality of directions and is for detecting sound produced in an area under observation; a reception unit (20) for receiving, from the optical fiber (10), an optical signal having the sound superposed thereon; and an identifying unit (30) for using the optical signal to analyze the distribution of the sound detected by the optical fiber (10) and identifying a production position where the sound was produced on the basis of the analyzed sound distribution.
