Abstract:
An optical fiber sensor (100) and a method for position detection using the optical fiber sensor (100). The optical fiber sensor (100) comprises: a laser generating device (110); a circulator (120) which is provided with a first port (A), a second port (B), and a third port (C), wherein the first port (A) is connected to the laser generating device (110); a first detector (130) which is connected to the second port (B) of the circulator (120); and a second detector (140) which is connected to the third port (C) of the circulator (120). The first detector (130) receives forward scattered light generated after measurement laser passes through an environment to be measured, and the second detector (140) receives backward scattered light generated after the measurement laser passes through the environment to be measured. According to the optical fiber sensor (100) and the method for position detection using the optical fiber sensor (100), the position where the measurement laser is scattered in the environment to be measured can be accurately determined according to the forward scattered light received by the first detector (130) and the backward scattered light received by the second detector (140).
