Abstract:
Disclosed is an optical fiber strain measurement method including: a strain amount measurement step S2 for measuring the strain amount εn' of each core wiring of an optical fiber tape core wiring F; a torsion angle calculation step S3 for calculating the torsion angle γ per unit length of the optical fiber tape core wiring F on the basis of the difference Δε' in strain amount between the outer core wiring and the inner core wiring of the optical fiber tape core wiring F; a torsion strain amount calculation step S4 for calculating the strain amount εn caused by torsion of each core wiring of the optical fiber tape core wiring F on the basis of the torsion angle γ per unit length of the optical fiber tape core wiring F; and a tensile strain amount calculation step S5 for calculating the strain amount Δεn caused by torsion of each core wiring of the optical fiber tape core wiring F by subtracting the strain amount εn caused by tension of each core wiring of the optical fiber tape core wiring F from the strain amount εn' of each core wiring of the optical fiber tape core wiring F measured by the strain amount measurement step S2.
