Abstract:
Provided is a cutting device for cutting an optical fibre running in a first direction, said cutting device comprising: a flexible support piece which has a free end and a fixed end; a cutting blade which is supported by the support piece and is arranged so as to come into contact with the optical fibre by making a right angle at the point of contact; and a drive device which is constructed so as to apply pressure to the support piece in a second direction which is within a plane orthogonal to the first direction and which does not intersect the first direction.
