Abstract:
Provided are: an optical film which is suppressed in interference irregularity and has high surface hardness; a method for producing this optical film; and an image display device which has good image visibility. An optical film which comprises a base film that contains a (meth)acrylic resin and a first cured layer that is obtained by curing a first composition containing a curable compound, and wherein: the first cured layer is composed of a compatible layer and a first hard coat layer; the compatible layer and the first hard coat layer are arranged in this order from the base film side; the pencil hardness of the first cured layer-side surface of the optical film is H or higher; and the peak intensity of a power spectrum, which is obtained by Fourier transforming the reflectance spectrum as determined by optical interference type non-contact surface shape measurement from the first cured layer side of the optical film, is 0.001-0.030. A method for producing an optical film, which comprises a process of drying a coating film of the first composition containing a solvent at 70-120°C for 120-300 seconds; and an image display device which comprises the above-described optical film.
