Abstract:
Provided is an optical film manufacturing method wherein transfer performance by means of a transfer roller is excellent and generation of scratches due to sliding on the transfer roller during transfer is suppressed. An optical film obtained by such optical film manufacturing method is also provided. The optical film manufacturing method is provided with an embossed section forming step of forming a strip-like embossed section having a plurality of protruding sections at least on one end of the film in a direction perpendicular to the transfer direction, and in the embossed section forming step, the embossed section is formed by a non-contact system while the film is being transferred.
