Abstract:
Disclosed is an optical film which enables the attainment of uniform image quality in a large-sized screen with high productivity.
The optical film is characterized by comprising a sugar ester compound and a cellulose ester, wherein the sugar ester compound has at least one furanose or pyranose structure and is produced by esterifying all or some of OH groups in a compound in which 1 to 12 pieces of the furanose or pyranose structure are linked, and wherein the cellulose ester has at least a repeating unit represented by general formula (1) or (2).
[In the formulae, A and B independently represent a bivalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or a bivalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms which is substituted by a hydroxy group, and may be the same as or different from each other.]
