Abstract:
One aspect of the present invention is an optical film roll manufacturing method which comprises a step of manufacturing a resin film in an elongated shape having an embossed portion on both widthwise edges along the longitudinal direction, and a winding step of winding the resin film into a roll on a winding core, wherein the winding step comprises a vibration winding step of winding the resin film onto the winding core while periodically vibrating the resin film and/or the winding core in the width direction of the resin film such that the area enclosed by f(x) and the x-axis thereof is larger than the area enclosed by a sine-wave vibration a(x) that has the same amplitude and period as f(x) and the x-axis and is smaller than the area enclosed by a square wave vibration b(x) that has the same amplitude and period as f(x) and the x-axis, wherein in f(x) the x-axis is the accumulated thickness of the wound resin film and the y-axis is the widthwise distance between the centers of the resin film and the winding core.
