Abstract:
The present application relates to an optical film and a use thereof. According to the present application, by controlling the orientation state of a liquid crystal compound inside a liquid crystal layer, a single layer can be obtained, and the liquid crystal layer can be made to exhibit so-called reverse wavelength dispersion characteristics even at a small thickness. An optical film comprising the above liquid crystal layer can be used for various purposes, for example, as an optical element for exhibiting optical modulation characteristics or improving optical utilization efficiency in a display device such as a LCD (liquid crystal display) or an OLED (organic light emitting device) or as an element for implementing stereoscopic images or for improving quality thereof.
