Abstract:
Provided is an optical filter with which vivid images having favorable reproducibility can be obtained, when acquiring images based on both visible light and near-infrared light. The optical filter comprises: a reflective layer that has, in a wavelength region between wavelengths 350-1200nm, a transmission wavelength band in which the transmission rate of light at an incidence angle of 0° is at least 40%, with the transmission rate at the wavelength side shorter than the transmission wavelength band and at the wavelength side longer than the transmission wavelength band being less than 40%; and an absorption layer having an absorption maximum within the transmission wavelength band of the reflective layer. Within the transmission wavelength band, the optical filter includes: a low transmission wavelength band; a first high transmission wavelength band which is at the shorter wavelength side than the low transmission wavelength band and in which the transmission rate for light at an incidence angle of 0° is higher than that of the low transmission wavelength band; and a second high transmission wavelength band which is at the longer wavelength side than the low transmission wavelength band and in which the transmission rate of light at an incidence angle of 0° is higher than that of the low transmission wavelength band.
