Abstract:
The present invention relates to an optical filter which comprises: an absorption layer that contains a transparent resin and a near-infrared absorbing dye (A) which has the maximum absorption wavelength in dichloromethane within the wavelength range of 850-1,100 nm; and a reflective layer that is composed of a dielectric multilayer film. This optical filter is configured such that: with respect to the near-infrared absorbing dye (A), the ratio of the absorbance at a wavelength of 400 nm to the absorbance at the maximum absorption wavelength in dichloromethane is less than 0.10, and the ratio of the absorbance at a wavelength of 550 nm to the absorbance at the maximum absorption wavelength in dichloromethane is less than 0.04; and with respect to the near-infrared absorbing dye (A), the ratio of the absorbance at a wavelength of 400 nm to the absorbance at the maximum absorption wavelength in the transparent resin is less than 0.15, and the ratio of the absorbance at a wavelength of 550 nm to the absorbance at the maximum absorption wavelength in the transparent resin is less than 0.10.
