Abstract:
To provide an optical filter having shielding effects against near-ultraviolet rays and near-infrared rays. An optical filter having a transparent resin body having a single-layer or multi-layer structure, the optical filter including a near-ultraviolet-absorbent pigment (U) having an absorption maximum at a wavelength of 370-425 nm and a molar absorption coefficient of 50,000 [L/(mol∙cm)] or greater at the maximum absorption wavelength, the pigment (U) being a compound represented by formula (U), and a near-infrared-absorbent pigment (A) having an absorption maximum at a wavelength of 600-800 nm. In formula (U), Y represents an oxygen atom, a methylene group, or a dimethylene group, R1 represents a monovalent hydrocarbon group or the like which may have a substituent, R2 through R5 represent hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, or alkoxy groups or the like, and X represents a divalent group represented by formulas (X1) through (X5) or the like.
