Abstract:
Provided is a new optical functional device with excellent convenience, utility or reliability. An optical functional device having a light emission function, a photoelectric conversion function, a first electrode, a second electrode, and an optical functional layer, wherein the light emission function converts electrical energy into first light, the first light has a first emission spectrum, the first emission spectrum shows a maximum peak at a first wavelength, and the first emission spectrum has an intensity of 80% of the maximum peak at a second wavelength. Further, the photoelectric conversion function has a spectral sensitivity characteristic, the spectral sensitivity characteristic shows a maximum sensitivity in the range of 420-720 nm (inclusive) at a third wavelength, and the spectral sensitivity characteristic has a sensitivity of 80% of the maximum sensitivity at a fourth wavelength. The third wavelength is located closer to the second wavelength than the first wavelength, and the fourth wavelength is located closer to the first wavelength than the third wavelength.
