Abstract:
The present invention provides: an optical glass in which the refractive index (nd) is 1.81–2.15, the density is not more than 6.0 g/cm3, the glass viscosity is 101dPa·s at a temperature T1 of 900–1200°C, the devitrification temperature is not more than 1300°C, and the SiO2 content rate expressed in mole percent on an oxide basis is 5–44%; and an optical component that uses the optical glass.
