Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical glass which has high transmittance in the near-infrared region in addition to high refractive index and low dispersibility. An optical glass according to the present invention is characterized by: containing B2O3 and LaF3 as essential components without containing a Zn component and a component having an absorption in the near-infrared region; and being optimized with respect to the total content of La2O3, Gd2O3 and Y2O3 and the total content of LaF3, GdF3 and YF3.
