Abstract:
Disclosed is an optical information recording medium (10) provided with a plurality of recording layers (14) the refractive index of which changes by being irradiated by recording light, and middle layers (15) which are provided in between the plurality of recording layers (14). A recording layer (14) and a middle layer have mutually different refraction indices; and of the interface between a recording layer (14) and a middle layer (15), the refractive index at the interface (the front side border (19)) between the recording layer (14) and the middle layer (15) adjoining the recording layer (14) on the side on which said recording layer is irradiated by the recording light, gradually changes as a result of the mixing of the recording layer (14) and the middle layer (15). Hereby, a method for manufacturing an optical information recording medium of this type comprises a first step wherein the recording layer forming surface is coated with a material, a second step wherein the material or a portion of the material for the recording layer is hardened and thereafter a the recording layer forming surface is coated with a material for a middle layer, and a third step wherein the material for the recording layer and the material for the middle layer is hardened; and the first through third steps are repeatedly performed.
