Abstract:
Provided are an optical information reproduction device that uses holography and a method therefor allowing the effect of reference light reflected from a disc surface to be reduced, and allowing the data to be stably reproduced. The optical information reproduction device reproduces information from a holographic optical information recording medium that performs multiple recordings of page data for each angle of the reference light, the optical information reproduction device comprising: a light source for generating the reference light; a multiple angle adjustment unit for adjusting the angles in multiple directions of the reference light; and an imaging element for detecting the reproduction light reproduced from the holographic optical information recording medium using the reference light. The device detects the spot position of the reflection light detected when irradiating the holographic optical information recording medium with the reference light, and carries out erasure correction using an error correcting code added to the page data with the spot position as the erasure position.
