Abstract:
This optical integrated circuit comprises: a first element having a function for separating each of a plurality of polarized waves from an electromagnetic wave including said plurality of polarized waves, or a function for separating each polarized wave from the electromagnetic wave including the plurality of polarized waves, and then rotating at least some of the polarized waves; and a second element having a function for separating a plurality of wavelength components contained in the electromagnetic wave into each wavelength component. The first element and the second element are connected in cascade.
