Abstract:

Provided is an optical integrated device which can mount a component to be mounted on the substrate accurately, with a high degree of integration, and without heating. This optical integrated device is characterized in that said device comprises a substrate, an optical element optically joined to a first element, and an electronic element laminated on the optical element or a second element. A surface activated bonding technique is used to join the optical element to the substrate, with a first junction interposed therebetween comprising a metal material formed on the substrate, and a surface activated bonding technique is used to join the electronic element to the optical element or the second element, with a second junction interposed therebetween comprising a metal material formed on the optical element or the second element.
