Abstract:
The invention relates to the devices distinguished by optical means of measurement specifically to the optical interferometers coming part of low-coherent reflectometers and devices for optical coherent tomography. The corresponding polarization switches are incorporated in the measuring and bearing arms (5), (7). As a result the direction of the polarization of the optical radiation passing through the light-splitter (3) in the opposite direction becomes the orthogonal thereof to the polarizing direction of the optical radiation passing through the light-splitter (3) straight away. The light-splitter (3) is polarizelly sensitive that makes it possible to set up of the light-splitter (3) for each polarization on condition that the maximum efficiency of the use of the power source of optical radiation and the best signal/noise ratio are secured. In another variant of the interferometer the light-splitter (25) is independent. In one modification of this variant the source power of optical radiation can be used, but in another modification can be also used the source (23) of non-polarized optical radiation. The realization in the interferometer of the balance reception guarantees the maximum use of the power source of optical radiation and the best signal/noise ratio.
