Title:
OPTICAL LAMINATE, LIGHT-GUIDING ELEMENT, AND AR DISPLAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/075740
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are an optical laminate, a light-guiding element, and an AR display device that achieve a large diffraction angle. The present invention has, in order, a first optically anisotropic layer, a cholesteric liquid crystal layer, and a second optically anisotropic layer. The first optically anisotropic layer: is formed using a composition that includes a liquid crystal compound; and has a liquid crystal orientation pattern in which the orientation of an optical axis that originates from the liquid crystal compound changes while continuously rotating along at least one direction within a plane. The cholesteric liquid crystal layer is formed by fixing a cholesteric liquid crystal phase. The second optically anisotropic layer: is formed using a composition that includes a liquid crystal compound; and has a liquid crystal orientation pattern in which the orientation of an optical axis that originates from the liquid crystal compound continuously rotates along at least one direction within a plane. The orientation of the optical axis that originates from the liquid crystal compound of the first optically anisotropic layer and the orientation of the optical axis that originates from the liquid crystal compound of the second optically anisotropic layer continuously rotate along the same one direction and rotate in the same direction along the one direction.
