Abstract:
The present invention is: an optical layered body including at least two types of films, wherein the optical layered body includes at least a film A satisfying a predetermined condition (1) and a film C satisfying a predetermined condition (2), the retardation value Re(0) observed from the direction of an axis perpendicular to the surface of the optical layered body is 4,000-30,000 nm, and the retardation value Re(40) observed in a plane along the slow axis, which is the direction in which the refractive index is greatest in the plane of the film A and perpendicular to the optical layered body surface, from the direction of an axis inclined 40 degrees toward the slow axis from the axis perpendicular to the optical layered body surface is 4,000-25,000 nm; and a display device having the optical layered body.
