Abstract:
A member for an optical line sensor unit 1 that has: a light source part 5 that radiates light at a transport path 3; and a light reception part 8 that outputs a signal that corresponds to the amount of light from the transport path 3. The member comprises: a transparent member 11 that transmits light that is incident at the light reception part 8; and a cover member 12 that surrounds the outer circumference of the transparent member 11 and does not transmit light. Comb-like protrusions 11c are formed at sides of the outer circumference of the transparent member 11 that are parallel to a principal scanning direction, and comb-like recesses 12c that receive the comb-like protrusions 11c are formed at locations on the cover member 12 that are opposite the transparent member 11. The comb-like protrusions 11c of the transparent member 11 are bonded to contact parts of the comb-like recesses 12c of the cover member 12 by an adhesive.
