Abstract:
An optical material which meets the requirements (1) to (3) mentioned below in a transmittance curve obtained by measuring at a thickness of 2 mm and has an a* value of -4 to 1 inclusive and a b* value of -1 to 11 inclusive as hue values in a CIE1976 (L*,a*,b*) color space. (1) The transmittance curve has a transmittance maximum value T1 in a wavelength range of 400 nm to 445 nm, wherein the maximum value T1 is 65% or more. (2) The transmittance curve has a transmittance minimum value T2 in a wavelength range of 445 nm to 485 m, wherein the minimum value T2 is 60% to 90% inclusive. (3) The smallest value among transmittances in a wavelength range of 650 nm to 800 nm is 75% or more, and the average value of transmittances in a wavelength range of 650 nm to 800 nm is 80% or more.
