Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical member which enables a patterned shape to be recognized when viewed from a predetermined angle, without obstructing the field of vision of a wearer, and to provide a method for manufacturing an optical member, whereby the optical member of such description can be manufactured. This optical member has a lens substrate (2), a patterning layer (3) patterned in a predetermined shape so as to cover a portion of the lens substrate (2), and a hard coat layer (4) formed so as to cover the lens substrate (2) and the patterning layer (3), and is characterized in that the refractive index of the lens substrate (2) is equal to the refractive index of the hard coat layer (4) and differs from the refractive index of the patterning layer (3) by at least 0.02.
