Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical module manufacturing apparatus for installing an optical component in a housing (14) of an optical module to manufacture the optical module. This optical module manufacturing apparatus is provided with a housing positioning device (30) that positions the housing on the basis of the external shape thereof. The housing positioning device is provided with a substrate (31) on which the housing is mounted, a support part (32a, 32b, 32c), and a pressing part (34). The support part is formed on the substrate, and supports the housing at a predetermined position while being in contact with a first side surface (14a) of the housing. The pressing part is movable between a holding position at which the pressing part comes into contact with a second side surface (14b) facing the first side surface of the housing to hold the housing while pressing the housing against the support part, and a releasing position at which the pressing part is not in contact with the housing.
