Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical module whereby reliability thereof can be enhanced and the cost thereof can be reduced, and a method for manufacturing the optical module. An optical module (100) is provided with a mirror unit (40) having a movable mirror part (10), a magnet part (50) for generating a magnetic field acting on the movable mirror part, and a package (60) for accommodating the magnet part. The magnet part has a Halbach structure including: a first magnet (51), the force thereof acting along a first direction; and a second magnet (52, 53), the force thereof acting along a second direction. The package (60) has a bottom wall part (61), a side wall part (62), and a restricting part (63) for restricting movement of the second magnet in the second direction. The movable mirror part is disposed in a space formed by the restricting part (63) and a top surface (50a) of the magnet part.
