Abstract:
An optical module (20), comprising: a semi-reflective layer (BS) which receives circularly polarized light or elliptically polarized light (E2); a second phase position delay unit (QWP2), located downstream on the optical path of the semi-reflective layer (BS) in order to receive the transmitted circularly polarized light or elliptically polarized light and modulate and reemit same; and a polarizing beam splitter (PBS), arranged downstream on the optical path of the second phase position delay unit (QWP2), the polarizing beam splitter (PBS) being provided with a light transmittance axis. The optical module (20) further comprises a second phase position compensation unit (RB) located between the second phase position delay unit (QWP2) and the polarizing beam splitter (PBS), the optical axis of the second phase position compensation unit (RB) being located within the plane orthogonal to the light transmittance axis of the polarizing beam splitter (PBS), or within the plane orthogonal to the light reflecting axis of the polarizing beam splitter (PBS). By means of such an optical module (20), the occurrence of light leakage in a folded optical path can be reduced, and in particular light leakage in a folded optical path can be reduced or eliminated within a wide angular range, helping to improve the user experience result.
