Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent deposition or adhesion of an organic tin compound in an optical module in which an optical pickup has been integrated. The optical pickup (100) according to this optical module comprises: light sources (1,10) for emitting light; optical components (2,3) for passing light from the light sources; a drive circuit (28) for driving the light sources, the drive circuit (28) being electrically connected with at least one component other than the drive circuit using flux-containing solder (27a,27b); and heat releasing materials (22a,22b) for releasing heat generated by the light sources (1,10). The heat releasing materials (22a,22b) are capable of generating only ethanol, or are capable of generating ethanol and methanol such that the ratio of ethanol is greater than methanol.
