Abstract:
This optical module comprises: a base (10) having a flat surface (11); a first optical element (20) and a second optical element (30) disposed facing each other on the flat surface (11) of the base (10), the first and second optical elements (20), (30) having a plurality of optical axes L1-L4 that are arranged in parallel and that correspond to each other; and a lens array (40) having a plurality of lens elements (41)-(44) that are disposed on the flat surface (11) of the base (10) between the first and second optical elements (20), (30) and that are moreover disposed in parallel corresponding to the plurality of optical axes L1-L4 of the first and second optical elements (20), (30), the plurality of lens elements (41)-(44) optically coupling the first and second optical elements (20), (30). A surface of the lens array (40) facing the flat surface (11) of the base (10) is provided with a plurality of adhesive agent layers (51), (52) having a plurality of adhesive surfaces (45), (46) that are positioned so as to be lined up in the direction in which the plurality of lens elements (41)-(44) are disposed in parallel and an adhesive-agent-interference-suppressing section (47) located between the plurality of adhesive surfaces (45), (46) so as to be adjacent thereto, the plurality of adhesive agent layers (51), (52) bonding together the flat surface (11) of the base (10) and the plurality of adhesive surfaces (45), (46) of the lens array (40) and securing the lens array (40) to the flat surface (11) of the base (10).
