Abstract:
A scalable, large-capacity interconnected network is essential for future large-scale parallel processing, but dealing with an increase in communication demand within a rack is difficult with conventional technology in which the introduction of an optical switch in an electrical switch cut-through between racks is being considered. In addition, in regards to optical switch control, if centralized control such as an SDN controller is introduced, the overhead required for control becomes an issue, and trade-offs arise between the number of ports and the communication bands with an AWG-Router that performs routing using a combination of a wavelength and a port. The present invention proposes an optical path control method and an optical path switch system comprising a wavelength multiplexing transmission path, an optical switch and an optical switch control unit that mutually connect a plurality of calculation nodes, the present invention being characterized by the determination of a destination and the execution of optical switching at the optical switch control unit, according to the combination of wavelengths transmitted from optical transmitters of the calculation nodes.
