Abstract:
Provided is an optical pickup control device that comprises a signal detection unit (30), a central control unit (50), and an actuator drive unit (40). The signal detection unit (30) detects offset of an objective lens (24) with respect to a reference position as a lens error signal (S8). The central control unit (50) applies lens midpoint control to the objective lens (24). The actuator drive unit (40) sends a drive signal (S10) to an actuator (26) that moves the objective lens (24). The central control unit (50), before making adjustments on the basis of a tracking error signal (S7) to change the amplitude of the tracking error signal (S7) or the offset of the tracking error signal (S7), measures the drive signal (S10) with which the lens midpoint control is applied as a lens midpoint control drive signal and, when making adjustments to change the amplitude or offset, adds an offset drive signal based on the lens midpoint control drive signal to the drive signal (S10).
