Abstract:
Provided is an optical pickup device that simplifies device configuration, makes it easier to adjust the position of the diffractive element and light source, and enables a servo signal to be obtained in a stable manner. A focusing diffraction region (21) in the optical pickup device (10) is provided with the same number of types of focusing regions (22) as the types of lights that the light source (12) is able to emit. The types of focusing regions (22) correspond to the types of lights, and each type of focusing region (22) diffracts the corresponding type of light toward the same location in a focusing light-receiving region (17). Furthermore, each type of focusing region (22) is composed of a plurality of focusing subdivision regions. The plurality of focusing subdivision regions in each type of focusing region (22) is periodically distributed in the focusing diffraction region (21), and at least a portion of the focusing subdivision regions are positioned adjacent to a different type of light focusing subdivision region.
