Abstract:
The present invention reduces the effect of crosstalk between channels when receiving a multichannel optical signal. An optical receiver for receiving an optical signal on a plurality of channels, said optical receiver having: a light-receiving element for detecting an optical signal for each of the channels; a delay adjustment unit disposed at a stage preceding the light-receiving element, the delay adjustment unit adjusting the delay time of an input optical waveform for each of the channels; and a control unit for using information obtained from an electric signal of a stage following the light-receiving element to control the delay time of the delay adjustment unit in a direction in which a change point of the optical waveform of one channel separates from the identification timing of the optical waveforms of the other channels.
