Abstract:
An optical receiver comprising a light-receiving element, a capacitor, a transimpedance, and a base. The light-receiving element comprises: a semiconductor layer; a first electrically conductive film electrically connected to a cathode electrode provided on a major surface of the semiconductor layer; a second electrically conductive film provided on the reverse side of the semiconductor layer from the major surface and electrically connected to the first electrically conductive film via an electrical conductor; and an anode pattern electrically connected to an anode electrode provided on the major surface of the semiconductor layer. The transimpedance includes a first pad electrically connected to the first electrically conductive film via a first wire, and a second pad electrically connected to the anode pattern via a second wire. The base has a major surface on which the light-receiving element and the transimpedance are mounted. A capacitance between the second electrically conductive film and the major surface of the base is greater than a parasitic capacitance between the first electrically conductive film and the second electrically conductive film, and an inductance of the electrical conductor is smaller than an inductance of the first wire.
