Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an optical receptacle and an optical module provided with the same whereby light transmission accompanied by monitoring can be achieved by a simple configuration, and a degree of freedom can be maintained in the layout of a light path. [Solution] A light-dividing surface (14) is provided for dividing light of a light-emitting element (7) into coupled light to be coupled to a light-transmitting body (5) and monitor light using total reflection, and the light-dividing surface (14) has a first curved surface which is convex toward the opposite side from a first surface (2a) from a first virtual reference plane having an inclination of angle α[°] with respect to the first surface (2a) on a photoelectric conversion device (3) side of an optical receptacle main body (2), and a second curved surface which is convex toward the opposite side from the first surface (2a) from a second virtual reference plane having an inclination of angle β[°] with respect to the first surface (2a), where α and β satisfy the relationship α > β > critical angle.
