Abstract:
An optical recording medium onto which data is written by a recording light such as a laser beam and from which data is reproduced by the reproducing light. The optical recording medium prevents the characteristics from being deteriorated by the reproducing light, and further prevents the writing sensitivity and the S/N ratio of reading from being deteriorated. The optical recording medium has a recording layer (2) formed on a substrate (1), the recording layer (2) containing a mixture of cyanine coloring matter and a bonded matter of cyanine coloring matter cations and quencher anions.
