Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to maintain dust resistance while minimizing thermal damage done to a detection member for detecting a light beam. This optical scanning device is provided with the following: a housing (80) that contains scanning optics (72); a cover that covers an opening to a containing region (80A); and a detection member (78) located outside said containing region (80A). A light-detection opening (83a) for emitting the abovementioned light beam from the inside of the containing region (80A) to the outside thereof such that said light beam is received by the detection member (78) is formed in one section, namely a first section (83), of a housing-side wall (82), and said light-detection opening (83a) is covered by a light-transmitting member (8) that transmits the light beam.
