Abstract:
An optical scanning device provided with a polygon mirror (33) and a casing (31) for housing a polygon motor (34), wherein collection space parts (51) for collecting foreign matter flying around on an airflow induced by rotation of the polygon mirror (33) are formed in the casing (31), and the collection space parts (51) have an inflow opening (51a), which opens to the upstream side of the direction of rotation of the polygon mirror (33) and receives the airflow.
