Abstract:
An optical scanning observation apparatus (100) includes: an optical scanning unit (4) that scans illumination light; an optical detection unit (5) that detects signal light at each scanning position on a subject (A) and generates and outputs an optical detection signal on the basis of the intensity of the signal light; a power supply unit (6) that supplies electricity to the optical detection unit (5); a determination unit (7) that determines, every time the optical detection signal is output, whether or not the intensity of the signal light detected by the optical detection unit (5) is at least a predetermined allowable threshold that is set relative to the current capacity of the power supply unit (6); and a control unit (8) that suppresses the quantity of the illumination light and/or the electricity supplied from the power supply unit (6) to the optical detection unit (5) when it is determined that the intensity of the signal light is at least the predetermined allowable threshold.
