Abstract:
The utility model relates to an optical security element having a substrate layer for certifying the authenticity of assorted goods. The aim of the invention is achieved in that the optical security element is in the form of a self-adhesive label provided with markers, a security element identification number that can be read by the human eye, a barcode with the security element identification number and an optical key in the form of a randomly coloured three-dimensional body containing the unique distinguishing features of each security element. This renders optical security elements less susceptible to counterfeit, while being simple to manufacture and easy to use by the consumer.
