Abstract:
An optical semiconductor device provided with: a wavelength-variable laser element; a beam splitter that diverts output light from the wavelength-variable laser element into first light and second light parallel to each other and outputs the first light and the second light; and an etalon transmissive to the first light and the second light. The etalon has an optical path length with respect to the first light that is different from an optical path length with respect to the second light.
