Abstract:
An optical signal attenuator and an optical signal transmission system, relating to the field of optical communications. The optical signal attenuator comprises: an optical signal channel (10) provided with an accommodating space (11); an attenuation element (20) at least partially located in the accommodating space (11) to absorb some optical signals in the optical signal channel (10); and a deformation element (30) connected to the attenuation element (20), the deformation element (30) being capable of deforming according to the temperature so as to displace the attenuation element (20), wherein a preset angle is formed between the displacement movement of the attenuation element (20) and the extension direction of the optical signal channel (10). The attenuation intensity of the optical signal attenuator can be automatically adjusted along with the temperature, and the optical signal attenuator does not need to consume external energy. The optical signal transmission system can confirm whether a fault exists in the system or can measure the temperature of the environment.
