Abstract:
Provided is a control method of an optical signal selection device which comprises: an I/O optical fiber array in which a plurality of optical fibers are arrayed in a prescribed switch direction; a wavelength spectrometer apparatus which spectrally separates an optical signal which is inputted thereto from the I/O optical fiber array in an approximately perpendicular direction to the switch direction; and a phase modulation element array further comprising phase modulation elements which are arrayed in a two-dimensional shape in the switch direction and the spectrum direction, and wherein the spectrally separated optical signal is inputted. Within the region wherein the optical signal is inputted within the phase modulation element array, a phase modulation is applied having a linearity with a different inclination for each column of the phase modulation elements which are arrayed in the switch direction. An optical signal selection device control method and an optical signal selection device are thus provided which implement an optical signal selection device which is more multi-functional than before.
