Title:
OPTICAL SIGNAL TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/132761
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To achieve reductions in size, diameter and cost while supplying a stable received light amount to a light receiving element in two-way communication using an optical signal. [Solution] A rotary joint 10 is provided with: a fixed part 20 and a rotating part 30 which are approximately orthogonal to a central axis X and disposed to face each other; and an approximately cylindrical light-guiding member 40 disposed therebetween. In the fixed part 20, a light-emitting element 22 and a light-receiving element 24 are provided, and in the rotating part 30, a light-receiving element 34 which receives light emitted from the light-emitting element 22, and a light-emitting element 32 which emits light to the light-receiving element 24 are provided. An intersection point C of the fixed part 20 with the central axis X is located in an approximately central part of a straight line LA connecting the light-emitting element 22 and the light-receiving element 24, and an intersection point C' of the rotating part 30 therewith is located in an approximately central part of a straight line LB connecting the light-emitting element 32 and the light-receiving element 34. Light emitted from each of the light-emitting elements 22, 32 is reflected in the light-guiding member 40 and thereby a stable received light amount is supplied to the light-receiving elements 24, 34.
