Abstract:
Provided is an optical signal transmission system that transmits signal light to an optical receptacle via a transmission fiber, an optical connector and a reception fiber. In the system, φ1ex <φ2en and φpd <φ2en are satisfied, where φ１ex is a core diameter at an emission end surface of the transmission fiber, φ２en is a core diameter at an incidence end surface of the reception fiber and φpd is the diameter of a reception light surface of a light-receiving element of the optical receptacle. In the optical connector, NA1ex > NA2en is satisfied, where NA1ex is the NA of signal light emitted from the transmission fiber and NA2en is the NA of signal light incident to the reception fiber.
