Abstract:
An optical reception terminal is provided with: multiple matrix-type filters (40, 41) which are provided for every multiple modes, and each perform polarized wave separation and equalization on a coherently received signal in a mode corresponding thereto; and two synthesis filters (50, 51) which are provided for every two polarized waves, and weight and then synthesize corresponding polarized wave signals among signals outputted from the multiple matrix-type filters (40, 41). Filter coefficients of the multiple matrix-type filters (40, 41) and weighting coefficients of the two synthesis filters (50, 51) are controlled such that, on the basis of deviations of both of two polarized wave signals synthesized by the two synthesis filters (50, 51) from desired states, the sum of the magnitudes of the deviations is minimized.
