An optical splitter (100), an optical splitter chip, a communication device, and an optical distribution network, relating to the technical field of optical energy loss of the optical splitter (100). The optical splitter (100) comprises an optical input waveguide (110) and optical splitting waveguides. The optical input waveguide (110) is used for receiving an optical signal. The optical splitting waveguides comprise a first optical splitting waveguide (130) and a plurality of second optical splitting waveguides (140). The first optical splitting waveguide (130) and the second optical splitting waveguides (140) are coplanar, and the plurality of second optical splitting waveguides (140) are divided into two parts and located at two sides of the first optical splitting waveguide (130), or the plurality of second optical splitting waveguides (140) are sequentially arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction of the first optical splitting waveguide (130). The first optical splitting waveguide (130) comprises a first connecting section (131) connected to the optical input waveguide (110), and the first connecting section (131) is linear. An optical splitting position can be set in a low-energy region of the optical signal, so that the branch loss of light energy in the optical splitter (100) is effectively reduced.
